Fruit and Custard Charlotte

Lately, we have been socializing quite a bit with our new neighbors, who are a very nice couple and live right next door. Very often, when we are out on the balcony, barbecuing or having dinner, they're also out and we chat with them. One night, we saw our neighbor preparing homemade pizza and cooking it in a very intriguing oven, outside. My boyfriend started asking him some questions and we found out they had a pizza oven and were making homemade pizza, Italian restaurant style, very often! They then invited us over for dinner one night, to taste it. Let's say that was pretty exciting!

Because dessert is my "specialty", I told them I was going to bring something. As it's summer and it starts getting warmer and warmer outside, I wanted to bring something light, fruity and refreshing. This Fruit and Custard Charlotte was a real success (as was the homemade pizza!).
