Creamy Blueberry Cake

August is a very busy month this year! This week is my brother’s birthday and my boyfriend and I are going on vacation the day of! My brother suggested that we celebrate his birthday when we get back, but I don’t like doing that…It just seems odd to me to throw a party for someone’s birthday a few weeks after they actual day…Even if we’re going away, I cannot let a birthday go by without baking a cake, that’s just not a possibility! So I invited him over for a simple dinner and...a proper birthday cake!

Because it’s summer and it’s been really warm around here, I wanted to make something light, flavorful and, ideally, fruity. So here is how came this idea of a creamy blueberry cake! It looks quite elaborate but it's actually relatively simple to make and yet has a "Wow" effect!
